Minitab Guide Part 1

Minitab Guide Part 2

Exam I from Fall 1987 can give you an idea of the format you can expect and how Minitab fits in. It would be unwise to study ONLY the stuff on this exam, but it does provide some sample questions. It came with a Minitab printout.

Solutions and comments for Problem 2 from EXAM I, Fall 2000.

Exam II from Fall 2000 is available with a solutions guide and Minitab for the oil data and the computer data.

An extensive analysis of the antique clock data illustrates graphing interaction models and model building.

The oil project due before Thanksgiving.

Exam II from Fall 1999 gives you a good review of the things we have done recently with the oil data. It comes with a Minitab printout for oil models III-V and for the bicycle data. (A printout for oil Model I came with your EXAM II for this semester; a printout for oil Model II is on p.230 of your textbook. It would be a good review to do the predictions and find the residuals by hand. You can also square the residuals and add them up to see if you get SSE, etc. You can also use Minitab to compute the residuals and make the graphs as a check.)

An extensive analysis of data on sales for a chain of fast food restaurants illustrates categorical data with more than two categories.

Examples relating to multicollinearity based on the oil data and the data on computers, both from EXAM II of Fall 2000.

Examples relating to heteroscedasticity based on the oil data and the data on computers, both from EXAM II of Fall 2000.

Analysis of Variance
